What our guests are saying
I get the kothu roti whenever I’m nearby because it is literally the tastiest thing ever. So many unique flavours, so tasty. Don’t know about the curries and such but the roti is my fave of this kind I’ve ever had! Note: if you ask for spicy it will be SPICY!

Best surprise in a LONG time! Patrick from Cameron House recommended Saffron Spice Kitchen across the street. The Napalese woman who took my order was lovely! She recommended the Kawhi Kothu Roti and it did NOT disappoint! So much flavour with a mix of tikka and butter chicken on a mix of potatoes (?) with grilled eggplant. Twas quite spicy, but we loved it! We left and came back to but Patrick a roll and since they were closing, the Napalese woman gave us a few for free! So generous! I am from Toronto and have travelled A LOT! I was in India last July staying with local people, so had my fair share of South Indian food. The food at Saffron is even better ;)!

I’ve had Saffron Kitchen’s lamprais several times now, and it never disappoints! 😋 Since I’ve been loving it so much, I had to finally write a review so others don’t miss out. The portion is generous and beautifully packed in banana leaf, locking in that rich, authentic Sri Lankan aroma. The chicken curry is tender and full of flavor, and the mix of mango curry, potato tempered, cashew curry, fish cutlet, and boiled egg makes it feel like a proper festive meal. Every bite has the perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and tangy. You can really taste the homemade touch. It’s only available on weekends, but honestly, it’s completely worth the wait!
