Overview Dashboard

The overview dashboard is your command centre — a real-time, at-a-glance view of everything happening across your restaurant. Every card and chart responds to the global date range filter and supports period-over-period comparisons.

    Date range & comparison engine

At the top of the dashboard you'll find the date range filter. It persists across all analytics tabs via local storage, so switching between Overview, Conversion, and Menu Analytics keeps the same range active.

    • Presets — Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, All Time.
    • Custom range — Pick any start and end date from the calendar.
    • Period comparison — Enable comparisons (previous period, same period last month/year) to see deltas as superscript percentages on every metric card.
    • Analytics settings — Configure the default period mode (calendar-aligned vs. rolling), fiscal week start, and comparison behaviour globally per restaurant.

    Live traffic

A real-time card at the top of the dashboard shows:

    • Live visitors — Customers currently browsing your storefront (polled in real-time).
    • Active carts — Visitors who have added items to their cart.
    • In checkout — Visitors currently in the checkout flow.

    Period stats

The first row of cards provides headline numbers for the selected period:

    • Total Orders — Count of fulfilled orders (both "paid" and "completed" statuses).
    • Total Revenue — Sum of all fulfilled order totals.
    • Website Traffic — Total unique visitor sessions.
    • Returning Customers — Customers who have placed more than one order.

    Performance metrics

A dedicated performance card aggregates four key conversion and efficiency metrics:

    • Average Order Value (AOV) — Revenue divided by order count.
    • Conversion Rate — Percentage of sessions that result in a completed order.
    • Cart Abandonment Rate — Percentage of sessions where items were added to cart but no order was placed.
    • Unique Customers — Distinct customers who placed orders.

    Recommendation ROI

When your menu has recommendation activity (items suggested and purchased via the recommendation engine), a dedicated card appears showing:

    • Recommendation revenue — Total revenue from items purchased via recommendations.
    • Items sold via recommendations — Count of recommended items that were actually ordered.
    • AOV uplift — How much higher the average order value is for orders containing recommended items.

    Review metrics

If you've configured a Google Place ID, a review metrics card appears showing:

    • Review requests sent — How many review request SMS/emails were dispatched.
    • Google reviews gained — New reviews detected on your Google listing in the period.
    • Current Google rating — Your live average rating.

    Order type breakdown

See the split between pickup and delivery orders for the selected period, with period-over-period comparison deltas.

    Discount performance

When discount codes have been redeemed during the period, a card appears with:

    • Codes redeemed — Total number of discount code uses.
    • Total discount amount — Sum of all discounts applied to orders.

    Rewards program

If the rewards program is enabled, a card shows points earned and points redeemed during the period. This helps you gauge loyalty program engagement.

    New account creations

Tracks the number of new customer accounts created in the selected period. Useful for measuring storefront growth and the impact of marketing campaigns.

    Revenue & traffic trend charts

Two time-series charts visualise daily trends:

    • Revenue trend — Daily revenue bars/line for the selected range.
    • Website traffic trend — Daily session counts, helping you spot traffic spikes or drops.

    Quick insights

At the bottom of the dashboard, AI-generated quick insights surface noteworthy patterns, such as:

    • Unusually high or low revenue days.
    • Items with sudden popularity changes.
    • Customer retention trends.
Tip: Enable period comparisons to see green/red delta indicators on every metric. This is the fastest way to spot whether your restaurant is trending up or down.
