Discount Codes

    Create promotional codes that customers can apply at checkout for percentage or fixed-amount discounts. Codes can be featured in your storefront carousel for maximum visibility.

    Creating a discount code

    1. Navigate to Marketing → Discount Codes.
    2. Click Create Code.
    3. Configure the code:
    • Code string — The text customers enter (e.g. WELCOME10).
    • Discount type — Percentage off or fixed amount off.
    • Discount value — The percentage or dollar amount.
    • Applies to — Entire order or specific items.
    • Minimum order value — Optional minimum subtotal required.
    • Max discount amount — Cap the discount for percentage codes (e.g. "20% off, up to $10").
    • Usage limit — Maximum total uses across all customers.
    • Per-customer limit — Maximum uses per individual customer.
    • Validity dates — Start and end dates for the promotion.
    • Priority — When multiple codes could apply, higher priority wins.

    Carousel display

    Enable the carousel option to feature a discount code as a promotional banner on your storefront. Carousel codes appear in a scrollable carousel at the top of the menu page.

    • Carousel image — Upload a custom promotional image.
    • Badge text — Short text overlay on the carousel card (e.g. "Limited Time").
    • Visibility schedule — Optionally show the carousel only during certain hours.

    Stacking rules

    By default, only one discount code can be applied per order. Discount codes are also not stackable with deal pricing unless the deal explicitly has Allow Discount Stacking enabled.

    Require Sign-In

    Enable the Require Sign-In toggle to restrict a discount code to authenticated customers only. When enabled:

    • Guest customers who try to apply the code will see an error message prompting them to create an account or sign in.
    • The restriction is enforced server-side, so it cannot be bypassed by the client.
    • This is useful for loyalty rewards, account-creation incentives, or exclusive offers for registered users.

    Usage tracking

    Every code redemption is logged with the customer phone, order ID, and timestamp. The discount code usage count is shown in the admin list. The Discount Performance card on the Overview dashboard shows total redemptions and discount amounts for the selected period.
