Google Place ID Configuration

Connect your Google Business listing so review requests link directly to your Google review page. The Place ID also enables review metric tracking on your dashboard.

    Finding your Place ID

    1. Go to Google's Place ID Finder.
    2. Search for your restaurant name and address.
    3. Copy the Place ID string (it looks like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4).
    4. Paste it into the Google Place ID field in Review Settings.

How the review link is generated

The system constructs a review URL in this format:

    https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID

This URL takes the customer directly to Google's review form — they just need to tap the stars and write a review. No searching required.

    What the Place ID enables

    • Review request links — The {{review_link}} variable in SMS/email templates.
    • Dashboard review metrics — The Review Metrics card on the Overview dashboard (review requests sent, reviews gained, current rating).
    • Google review snapshots — Periodic snapshots of your Google review count and average rating for historical tracking.
Note: The Place ID must be set before review collection will work. Without it, the system has no way to generate the review link for customers.
