Tiered Rewards
Motivate your most active referrers with escalating rewards. As customers refer more friends, their reward per successful referral increases.
How tiers work
You define reward tiers based on the number of completed referrals. Each tier specifies a threshold and a new reward value. When a referrer reaches a tier's threshold, all future referral rewards use that tier's value.
Example configuration
| After X referrals | Reward per referral |
|---|---|
| 0 (base) | 50 points |
| 5 referrals | 75 points |
| 10 referrals | 100 points |
| 25 referrals | 150 points |
In this example, a referrer who has completed 7 referrals earns 75 points for their next successful referral (they've passed the 5-referral tier but haven't reached 10 yet).

Configuring tiers
In Settings → Referral Settings, scroll to the Reward Tiers section:
- Click Add Tier.
- Enter the threshold — the number of completed referrals required to unlock this tier.
- Enter the reward value — the points or dollar amount for this tier.
- Add as many tiers as you like. They're automatically sorted by threshold.
- Click Save Settings.
How the tier is determined
When a referral payment is confirmed, the system:
- Counts the referrer's total completed referral redemptions.
- Sorts the configured tiers by threshold (ascending).
- Finds the highest tier where the referrer's count meets or exceeds the threshold.
- Uses that tier's reward value instead of the base reward.
Tip: Tiered rewards are most effective with 3–4 tiers. Too many tiers dilute the sense of achievement. Make the first tier achievable (e.g. 3–5 referrals) to create early momentum.
